On November 1, 2015, responsibility for the Service Excellence Program was transferred from the Office of the Associate Vice-President, Student Services to the Leadership, Learning and Organizational Development Centre in Human Resources.
This organizational change will allow the program to increase the number of services offered to the Network of Champions of Service Excellence and provide them with training in the field of service excellence. Moreover, for Human Resources, this is a natural transition since “Service Excellence is one of HR’s four areas of strategic focus,” says Elvio Buono, Associate Vice-President, Human Resources. “HR aims to offer professional, courteous and efficient service to employees and managers in order to lead the way in creating a culture of service excellence.”
Justin Thibault is still the Service Excellence Coordinator and will continue to work closely with champions in all sectors to help them reach their service excellence goals. This reorganization should allow champions to participate in more workshops in the coming months.
